Affordance Studio is looking for a Front-end developer! The front-end developer position has three main responsibilities for the Affordance Studio team: integrating visual mock-ups for games and websites; proposing and producing motion design; and designing mock-ups that are ergonomic and easy-to-use. They will have to communicate with team members and the creative director during the project conceptualization phase. The candidate will also communicate directly with the development team in order to effectively integrate assets and visuals in the production pipeline.  

The front-end developer will work within a team of dynamic and committed professionals. They will actively participate in various discussions about visual style and help make artistic decisions for different projects.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate visual mock-ups into CSS3 and HTML5
  • Research and make interaction and animation design proposals
  • Design ergonomic, accessible and responsive mock-ups
  • Adapt mock-ups for different browsers

Prerequisites

  • Relevant Bachelor’s or college degree;
  • +5 years experience in a developer position;
  • Mastery of HTML5, CSS3 and  JavaScript;
  • Knowledge of Git;
  • Working knowledge of integration pipelines;
  • Loves teamwork;
  • Motivation, curiosity and passion for technology;
  • Fluency in French (written and spoken).

Assets

  • Knowledge of VueJS and Python;
  • Experience within an agency;
  • The candidate must be based in Montreal and available to work full time in our studios in Montreal (Mile-End);
  • The person does not need a permit to work in Canada.
